A very nice selection of vegan cookies and other sweets. I have browsed the entire book and found several that I will definitely try in the future including:

Thumbprint cookies

Seriously Ginger cookies

Amazing Vegan Brownies

and more.

The recipes contained mostly healthy ingredients and most were not overly sweet (except the brownies with a whopping cup and a half of sugar, I'll be cutting back on that!!!) and explained well.

The author also does a good job of explaining the challenges of baking without any dairy products or eggs and offers a number of leavening options to make up for these ingredients not being included in the recipes. Luckily with cookies, rising is not usually much of an issue, certainly nothing like trying to make a cake for example, without eggs.

I'm taking off one star as the photos were much too dark and detracted from the overall presentation quite a bit. Photos can really make or break the appearance of a book and it was too bad that these did. Some you could barely make out what the cookies etc, looked like. I know food photography can be very challenging but I think this would have been better not having photos than the ones included.

Definitely worth a look though, if you are in need of some vegan cookie/bar options, especially with Christmas baking time just around the corner.

The Lazy Vegan Baker Cookies Outstanding Vegan Recipes for Beginners and Beyond eBook Jenny Dunklee Reviews

I was afraid there wasn't going to be enough chocolate in the recipes, but I was wrong! I am a chocolate lover and was shocked and delighted that I could induldge in my favorite flavor and still be eating vegan. There were several recipes with chocolate chips or chunks, and other flavors including lemon, coconut, banana, ginger and peanut butter. There is a cookie recipe for everyone in this book. I especially love the conversion tips. Many people I bake for wouldn't know how to substitute milk and eggs. It's actually very easy. Many thanks to the author for creating these recipes and compiling them.
What an amazing trove of useful vegan baking advice and recipes! Quick, sweet, and to the point details on what's best to use. And then... the recipes. Like, yow! I have only baked one of them so far (just got this a couple of days ago). I made the Chocolate Peanut Butter Blondies. Let me just say, I've been baking vegan stuff for quite some time, with varied results. Sometimes things come out, and sometimes they don't. Brownies and blondies in particular have been a bit challenging. They sometimes come out hard. Sometimes with a layer of oil on top. Sometimes just not... brownie-like. These ones came out as absolute perfection. I could eat them every day of my life. Seriously. If I only bought this cookbook for this one recipe, I would have already gotten my money's worth. But I know I am not going to be disappointed and can't wait to try the rest!

I learned about Jenny's blog through Twitter, started following her, and have made some awesome recipes she has posted there. I had to get this book as soon as it came out, because I already knew how good the recipes on the blog were. I would recommend this book to anyone. Even if you're not vegan, you won't be disappointed!

One more quick note The recipe was super-easy to make. I found everything already in my pantry or fridge. There wasn't a ton of exotic ingredients or anything like that. I was not sent on a scavenger hunt for some product I'd never heard of. And it took me about ten minutes to whip everything up, then the rest was just waiting while the house filled up with to-die for choco-peanut butter smells. Yum!
They look okay, but I don't have a lot of that stuf faround the house and don't want to go to the store
